Efficiently transporting semi-solid bulk materials from drill cuttings on a rig floor to abrasive slurries in a processing plant is one of the most operationally demanding challenges in industrial settings. PSI’s screw conveyor systems are built around a modular, direct-drive architecture that eliminates the sheaves, bushings, and belts of conventional designs, cutting both maintenance requirements and HSE exposure on-site.

Heavy-Duty Construction and Flexible Drive Configurations

All PSI screw conveyors are manufactured from 3/16” heavy-duty mild steel plate with cold-rolled steel shafts and a two-part industrial epoxy primer coating. Three drive options are fixed speed helical in-line, fixed speed helical bevel right angle, and variable speed helical in-line with a mechanical variator. These allow operators to precisely match throughput speed to material weight and density. Standard 6-foot and 12-foot pre-built modules are supplied fully assembled and can be coupled on-site to achieve the conveyor length required, without specialist equipment. Extension modules in 6-foot and 12-foot increments allow field crews to adapt runs quickly as project requirements change.

Three Independent Emergency Shutdown Systems and 360° Discharge Control

Safety is a core design principle across every PSI conveyor system. Each unit includes three independent ATEX/IECex-certified emergency shutdown devices. Top-mounted safety grates in solid steel plate or GRP grating, remote stop switches, and strobe and alarm horn options provide additional protection for hazardous-area classifications. For zero-discharge applications, the PSI 360° pivoting conveyor boom allows crews to direct material to any point within a full rotational radius with precision and minimal spillage risk.
